What goes on your save the date
Names, date and cover photo
At the top your names, the date and a photo of you – or several that fade into each other. If you like, a countdown shows the days until the wedding.
A note in your words
A few sentences for your guests: that you're looking forward to it and the invitation will follow. If nothing comes to mind, a default text stands there until you replace it.
Into the calendar
One click puts the date into Google Calendar, Outlook or, as a file, Apple Calendar. So nobody forgets it.
Nothing given away yet
Schedule, places and RSVP stay hidden until you're ready. With a password or personal links even the save the date stays between you and your guests.
In English and German
Guests from abroad get the page in both languages. Translate your note yourselves or with our suggestions.
One address from save the date to gallery
Every wedding website on Unser Ja starts as a save the date. When the invitations go out, you switch the same address to the full website with schedule and RSVP, and after the party it becomes your gallery. Links and QR codes you've already sent keep working.
- Your own address, e.g. anna-and-lukas.unser-ja.de
- Personal links and QR codes for every guest
- A preview with your names and the date when you share the link in a chat

When do you send a save the date?
- Usually six to twelve months before the wedding; the actual invitation follows about three to four months before.
- Earlier if your guests need to travel, you marry abroad or on a holiday weekend.
- Only to people who will also get an invitation – a save the date is a promise.

Nothing. The save the date is the first step of your wedding website and free for up to 30 people; for bigger weddings you unlock once for €79.
How do we send the save the date by WhatsApp?
Paste the link to your website into the chat. The preview shows your names and the date, and your cover photo if your website is open.

Yes. Add your guests with their email address and write them a message from Unser Ja. Each guest gets their personal link in it.
And guests who prefer a paper card?
