Rather tick it off online?

In Unser Ja you take over the same checklist with one click – and choose the tasks you need first. The dates follow your wedding date; if it moves, we offer to move the open tasks with it. Many tasks tick themselves off, for example once the first guest is on the list or the venue is booked.

Frequently asked questions

When should we start planning the wedding?

12 to 18 months before is ideal, especially for a popular Saturday in summer: venues, photographers and musicians are often booked early. Less time works too – enter your date and the checklist spreads everything that would already be due over the time until a week before the wedding.

What belongs on a wedding checklist?

The big bookings (venue, photography, music, catering), registering with the registry office, invitations and replies, the menu and seating plan, the final arrangements in the week before – and what comes after the party: sharing photos, saying thank you, reporting a name change.

When do we register with the registry office in Germany?

You can register your marriage at the earliest six months before the date. Ask your registry office early which documents you need – it differs from couple to couple.

Is the checklist really free?

Yes. You download the PDF without signing up. Online in Unser Ja, the checklist is free too.

Is the checklist available in German?

Yes – “DE” at the top of the page leads to the German version with its own PDF.
